Joselyn Collier

is a Building Construction Technology instructor at Edison Job Corps Center but has been with the program for nearly 10 years as a student, food services staff member, maintenance staff member and property coordinator. His knowledge of the Job Corps training program both as a student and operational staff gives him a unique perspective and an ideal background for working with students in his training area. Joselyn focuses on involving students in many hands-on projects in order to teach them the skills to be competitive and develop a strong work ethic to guarantee future success.

Carl Rowe - Electrical - Edison Job Corps Center

Carl Rowe

has been a staff member at Edison Job Corps Center for over 30 years, starting as an electrical assistant in the maintenance department and then as the supervisor of maintenance. He has now been an instructor for the Home Builders Institute Electrical Wiring training area at Edison Job Corps for the last 20 years. He holds an electrician’s license and is a certified OSHA trainer. Carl’s focus is on providing the best possible hands-on training for his students and providing all the tools necessary for them to have successful careers in the field.

Joseph Brown - Carpentry - Edison Job Corps Center

Joseph Brown

Joseph Brown, the Lead UBC/Carpentry instructor at Edison Job Corps, has been a union carpenter for over two decades. After completing his apprenticeship, he was a journeyman and foreman for various union contractors throughout New Jersey. Joseph has extensive knowledge of commercial construction carpentry and is authorized to teach OSHA, vinyl siding installation, scaffold safety, scaffold user and green building awareness courses.  

Jeremy Sickles - Carpentry - Edison Job Corps Center

Jeremy Sickles

has been a union carpenter in New Jersey since 1996 and is a current Union Brotherhood of Carpenters /Carpentry instructor at Edison Job Corps Center. He completed the four-year UBC apprenticeship program and worked in the field as a carpenter until July 2019, when he joined the EJCC team. He has extensive training through the UBC and is authorized to give certification classes for OSHA, scaffolding, green building awareness and vinyl siding.

Gayle Thevenet - Maintenance - Light Repair - Edison Job Corps Center

Gayle Thevenet

is an Automotive instructor the UAW-LETC at Edison Job Corps. He began his automotive career as a general service technician in 1997. Throughout the years, he has worked in a number of positions in the field as a tool clerk, parts clerk, automotive technician and automotive store manager. Gayle is certified in automotive technology and is ASE Master-certified. He is dedicated to providing students with the best possible experience to help them achieve their career objectives.

William Boni - Maintenance - Light Repair - Edison Job Corps Center

William Boni

is employed with UAW-LETC as an Automotive instructor at the Edison Job Corps Center. His focus in this role is to teach students how to succeed in the automotive industry. He is ASE Master-certified with over 25 years of experience as both a technician and manager in the auto field. William’s goal is to share his automotive knowledge with students so they can reach their career goals.

Ralph Amiano - Culinary Arts - Edison Job Corps Center

Ralph Amiano

is a Culinary Arts instructor at Edison Job Corps and a seasoned chef. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University, where he specialized in restaurant, hotel and catering operations and management. He also has many years of experience as an owner and operator of his own restaurant. Ralph’s focus when instructing is on student success and helping them achieve their career objectives, and because of this, students are prepared for higher-level careers in the culinary arts field and many students go on to advanced training.

Patrick Hayes - Electrical - Edison Job Corps Center

Patrick Hayes

has over 25 years of experience in HVAC/R electrical installation, residential service and sales, and commercial and industrial projects, and he is a United States Army veteran. He is a chief stationary engineer and holds several nationally recognized trade licenses and certifications. Patrick also has extensive teaching experience in the field in both the private and public sectors; he enjoys mentoring and preparing the next generation of tradesmen and sharing his knowledge with them. 

Ty Bailey - Career Journey - Edison Job Corps Center

Ty Bailey

has been a full-time Career Technical instructor at Edison Job Corps Center for over 20 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Rutgers University. Before he joined Job Corps, he was employed as a senior accountant at Ernst & Young, the third-largest accounting firm in the world. Ty brings many years of corporate experience to the Office Administration training area.

Dr. Rafik Michail - Clinical Medical Assistant - Edison Job Corps Center

Dr. Rafik Michail

has been the Clinical Medical instructor with Edison Job Corps Center for over five years. He brings extensive experience in the medical field to his classroom. Prior to joining EJCC, Dr. Rafik was a physician for 26 years. Currently, he is teaching medical courses in Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Terminology and Anatomy. His primary objective as an instructor is to help young adults achieve their goals and aspirations.
